Suzanne Pride Bryan co-owner of Pride Mountain Vineyards and LPGA star Cristie Kerr joined forces on Tuesday September 25th in New York City to raise funds to fight breast cancer at their 2nd annual Big Apple Wine Auction. Suzanne, pictured on the right with her husband and co-vintner at Pride Mountain Vineyards Stuart Bryan; and Cristie and her husband Erik Stevens, produce Curvature Wines, a high-end Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, with 100% of the net proceeds going to fund Kerr’s and Pride Bryan’s cancer projects. The wines are crafted at Pride Mountain Vineyards by Pride’s Winemaker Sally Johnson.
Cristie uses her portion to fund “The Cristie Kerr Women’s Health Center” at the Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey where patients can get diagnosed, even without medical insurance. Suzanne contributes her portion towards breast cancer research at Stanford Medical Center where she herself was treated for cancer. Cristie and Suzanne like to say they are supporting diagnostics and research on both coasts.
The pair raised $50,000 at an intimate wine dinner and auction at the Strip Steak restaurant in Midtown Manhattan, which will be contributed to the ongoing quest for cures for the various types of breast cancers.
