2012 Vintner Select Chardonnay
The 2012 vintage was a return to more typical weather conditions for California after three quite cool vintages. Although slightly cooler than our historical average, in comparison to the three very cool years of 2009 – 2011, it seemed quite balmy. Warm summer weather without any heat spikes allowed our Chardonnay to ripen evenly and develop a heady bouquet of jasmine, honeysuckle, melon, green apple and citrus zest. With its typical lush and rich palate balanced by a bright and airy acidity, this is a lovely expression of our high-elevation Chardonnay.
